With a degree in languages and computational linguistics, Cécile worked for a variety of national, international and blue chip companies, establishing herself as a recognised expert in her field of technical authorship.
In 1995 she founded Microfold Ltd and secured several longer-term contracts with Barclays, ICI and some larger Cheshire SMEs, assisting them with essential technical and general documents.
In 2000, Cécile attended Business Link’s Women As Entrepreneurs course. “Although the course required me to take almost 3 months out of the business, it had a pivotal effect on the company. The course was so useful in opening up opportunities and showing me the value of networking as well as pointing me firmly in the direction that I wanted to take the company. I really wanted to start working more closely with SMEs and helping new businesses with their communications.
My vision for the company has now arrived - in the shape of our MQubed services: I really feel that we have something special to offer the smaller company with a limited budget – without them having to compromise on the scale of their ideas.”
To date, Cécile has virtually 20 years’ professional editing and writing behind her and someday soon hopes to write the screenplay that lurks in the background!
To that end she has started working on short films (she’s created five to date) and you can view the results at www.microcinema.biz.
